• Handmade in South Africa by Tamburai, Pauline, and their female team in their Cape Town studio. The pillow is in a dark color with a light mud pattern. The Bogolan fabric is used for the front, the back with an elegant linnen in the same hue.
Bogolan fabric is also called mud cloth and made in Mali West Africa. The textile is made using narrow strips of handwoven cloth, about 15 cm wide, sewn together by hand. After, the large cloths are painted with mud and dried outside. This technique is seen in the different pillows we offer. To learn more about the studio, click here .
